Hellebore Open House

Roger Gossler reminds us to mark our calendars for the Hellebore Open House coming up in February 2026. Gossler Farms Nursery and Northwest Garden Nursery will be having an open house on two weekends: February 20, 21 and 22 and again on February 27, 28 and March 1.

Gossler Farms will have a good supply of one-gallon blooming Hellebores (Lenten Rose) for sale from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm each day, grown from seeds that were bred by the O’Byrnes at Northwest Garden Nursery.

The O’Byrnes at Northwest Garden Nursery will also be open for you to tour their garden and see the Hellebores in bloom there. They will have some snowdrops (Galanthus) and Erythroniums for sale, but only a few hellebores in limited colors, most yellow.

Winter Jewels® has a new home at Little Prince of Oregon

We are very excited to announce that the Winter Jewels® hellebore program is being taken over by Little Prince of Oregon. We are so excited because we are convinced that they will continue, and even improve, the quality that we have worked so hard to achieve in over 30 years of working with Helleborus ×hybridus. They are the first nursery that we have worked with that truly understands the dedication to meticulous detail that it took and will take going forward to preserve and improve the legacy breeding program that we have developed.
